Step 1: Set up your rod and reel
First, attach the spinning reel to the rod and place it on the appropriate fishing line.

Step 2: Prepare to cast
Grip the rod with your dominant hand on the reel and the other hand under it.
Reel in the line until it is about 30-50 cm (12-20 inches) hanging from the rod’s tip.
